I have written about this
before and I think it is worth repeating: Children with Down syndrome are not

Here is an oldie---look at how little she was. . .such a wee little baby. Wah! She is all grown up now. A big girl. Ack! Where did my little bebe go?! Not mention she can now scale that baby gate like a ninja! Oh and the bangs! Her hair is SO LONG now. Challenging Rapunzel for sure.

Liddy is also like that. Smiling, laughing, playing to screaming, growling, and fighting in the blink of any eye. Looking forward to those terrible two's.....NOT. lol
ReplyDeleteYou sing it sister! This is frustrating when it is assumed. Actually, before having Calvin I was the opposite in my assumptions. I pictured a really crabby person with Ds - that was my misperception and I was surprised to hear the happy one...

ReplyDeleteI know, I know, as a parent it's so hard to deal with the tantrums. However, as an outsider looking in, those pictures of Ellie are SO CUTE!! She's adorable even when she's throwing a fit!
