Traitor

Oh my goodness!  Could it be?  Is this really happening?

Is my hyperactive little Bearity Bear actually sitting and snuggling?  With me?!?!

I better not move.  In fact, I will not even twitch just so I can sit here all night inhaling her sweet little Ellie Bear scent and enjoying these snuggles.  Eh, doesn't exactly smell so sweet.  Actually, that blankie smells a little nasty.  Ew!  Still, let me just enjoy this precious moment.  Wait! Quick!  Andrew, get the camera and document this!

A rare, very rare, mother-daughter-kitty bonding moment.
Yes, I am indeed in my jammies.

Haha! Here is proof that there is indeed a real living person behind this blog.

Ack!  Escapee!  I knew a 5-second snuggle was totally pushing it.

Traitors!!!!  The whole lot of them!

  1. This makes me think Ellie and my cats have a lot more in common than I first realized.

    1. I don't doubt it, Maria! Tama is also a traitor in this house as is Sophie. Amelie is the only one loyal to me :-)

  3. So sweet. :-) Those cuddles can compare with *nothing* else. And this remeinds me, I need to steal Sammi's blankie and drop that nasty thing in the wash, too...

    1. I hear you, Becca! Those blankies get nasty. Ellie's is washed every single day but because she shoves it into her mouth, it gets so nasty! Yuck!

    1. Thank you! No make up, PJs. . . yet I needed to document this moment with me and Ellie. She is such a daddy's girl and it sounds like your little one is too!

  5. That's all Arlynn wanted to do today during PT.She kept trying to pull to stand to sit in my lap and I hated telling her that she had to go play with her therapist. There's nothing better than cuddle time with her.

Ellie is so adorable by the way.Love her PJ'S. Arlynn has a pair very similar. :)

  7. I read your story, and my own story of my son, Anthony, arriving a few weeks early into the world, is similar to yours. I didn't know that he had a 'designer gene'( quoting u - like that one) either and was by myself when I found out.
Your daughter is beautiful and your blog is wonderful!

  8. I love that you got a few moments of snuggle time! Katie bug is the same way. I find that I can get good snuggles in the morning when she is still sleepy, otherwise I am out of luck. glad that you thought to get the camera too.

  9. Both boys were on my lap for Toy Story 2 yesterday, and I didn't want to breathe for fear of losing the moment!

    1. I completely understand. Actually, I am a bit jealous they made it though Toy Story 2. . . Ellie lasts about 10 seconds! Yet I value each of those 10 seconds. So happy that both L and A were able to snuggle with you. Absolutely precious.
